A Beginner’s Guide to Repressing
Step #1: What You Will Need Before You Repress
-1 Ton Arbor Press (Amazon | Arbor Freight)
-Printing Paper cut into 1/2 (Use to crush your powders onto)
-2x3 cellophane bags (Place your crushed products inside this bag, squeeze to crush products. You can also use these to store left over products.
-Alcohol (Spray the base of Pan)
-Sandwich bags (cut into 2x2 squares to use between the products and the block while you repress. Save time, from having to clean the block with every color.
Optional:
-Steel Bench Block (4x4inch 1/2 thickness) (Give the Arbor Press a sturdier base)
-Art rubber roller (Crush extra stiff powders)
-All products mentioned above are linked in the Amazon List below.

(*This video was made a while ago. I've made a small adjustments to the Mold. At 2:23, I mentioned filling the mold up to 80–90% with product. You can now fill it all the way to the top.)
Step #3: Advice
Not everything can or should be repressed. If you're new to repressing, I recommend starting with matte products only. Practice on inexpensive or unused items so you don't risk damaging your favorites. Once you get the hang of the process, you can move on to your other products. There will be a lot of trial and error. Sometimes you'll repress a product and notice small cracks the first time, that's normal. Just try again.
Avoid baked powders with textures similar to Hourglass, Mac mineralize, Pat Mcgrath translucent powder, and All shimmery highlighters/shadows.
